Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data KudiSave ("the App") collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

KudiSave is owned and operated by Adusei Media.

Data We Collect

When you use KudiSave, we may collect information you provide or generate while using the App:

• Account info - Name, email address, phone number for verification, profile details, and protected password credentials
• Financial data - Expenses, income, budgets, goals, savings, bill reminders, subscriptions, notes, categories, payment methods, and preferred currency
• Gamification data - Streaks, XP, levels, badges, achievements, challenges joined, challenge progress, and completed challenges
• Preferences - Theme mode, notification settings, currency settings, export choices, and display preferences
• Device and usage info - Browser type, approximate device characteristics, app interactions, error information, and security events needed to run and protect the service
• Gmail data - Only if you opt in to Gmail OAuth. We request limited access needed to detect bill-related emails for reminders. We do not sell Gmail data or use it for advertising.

We do not ask for or intentionally collect mobile money PINs, online banking passwords, full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or precise device location.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve KudiSave
• Track expenses, income, budgets, goals, savings, subscriptions, and bills
• Generate personalized reports, smart insights, reminders, and dashboard summaries
• Power badges, achievements, challenges, streaks, XP, and level progress
• Apply your selected app currency across supported screens
• Send account, security, bill, budget, challenge, and summary notifications when enabled
• Verify your account using email and SMS OTP
• Enable exports, backups, account settings, and data recovery features
• Detect abuse, debug issues, and maintain service reliability

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

When Data May Be Shared

We may share limited information only when needed to operate the App, comply with law, protect users, or use trusted service providers such as hosting, email, SMS, authentication, and database infrastructure. These providers are only allowed to process data for the services they provide to KudiSave.

Data Security

We take security seriously and use safeguards such as:

• Password hashing using bcrypt
• JWT-based authentication
• HTTPS for API communication
• Validation and rate limiting on sensitive endpoints
• Restricted database access and operational monitoring

No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting your device, and logging out on shared devices.

Data Storage and Retention

Your account data is stored on secure servers. Some preferences and session data may also be stored locally on your device using browser localStorage for a faster experience.

We retain your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain backups, and prevent abuse. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated account data within a reasonable period, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.

Your Rights and Choices

You may:

• Access - View and export your financial data in supported formats
• Correct - Update inaccurate profile, preference, or financial records
• Delete - Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out - Disable optional email, reminder, budget, bill, and challenge notifications
• Disconnect - Revoke Gmail OAuth access without deleting your account

Some requests may require identity verification for account security.

Cookies and Local Storage

KudiSave uses browser localStorage for session and preference data, including:

• Authentication token
• Light or dark mode choice
• Currency, notification, dashboard, and display settings
• Temporary app state such as converter favorites or selected tools

Clearing localStorage may log you out and reset some local preferences.

Children's Privacy

KudiSave is intended for users who can lawfully manage an account and personal finance information. The App is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
